Oh, how stupid can I really get?

I have been wondering why, when I hit reply on an email and send a reply lately, I have not been getting replies BACK, and it was only tonight that I realized that rather than sending the replies to the person who sent me the email, I have been sending the replies to my hotmail account (somehow--don't ask me how!!) How stupid is that? And how dumb do I feel now, having insisted to several people that I KNOW I replied to something, only to find that I did, but didn't?
I am starting to wonder what is going on in my head these days.

Totally random junk

Obviously I've been a little out of the blogosphere for a while, pretty much for lack of anything to write about, we've been sick off-and-on for the past month, and I've had total lack of motivation to do anything computer-related once I'm done working.

I'm still hugely lacking for any inspiration, so here are the highlights of the past few days/weeks:

Today was "dog wash day". 2-1/2 down, 2-1/2 to go. When I say "1/2", I mean that one of our dogs is too old to get an actual bath anymore, he is well over 100 pounds and I can't lift him into the tub, he can't stand for more than 5 minutes without falling over, so he is getting a "doggy sponge bath." Since he only moves about once every few hours or so, I had to resort to grooming only one side of him, and have to wait until he decides to move again to get the other side.

Doggy #4 is refusing to leave the couch after seeing the other 2 bounding out of the bath, knowing full well what is in store for her, knowing that she is near-impossible to lift into the tub as well because of her hugeness. So....basically I'm waiting for her to unglue herself from the couch and get close enough to the bathroom door so I can shove her in and haul her into the tub.

Over a week ago, I burned my arm and I've had several people looking at me like I have leprosy, and a few actually asking if I've seen a doctor because it looks contagious. It hurts like heck still and it's been about a week and a half already. Damn. DON'T DUMP COLD CHICKEN INTO A HOT, HOT PAN WITH OIL IN IT!!! Or at least be smart and use a spatula or something. Don't dump it all in at once with a big PLOP or you too may end up being scorned, scarred, and avoided like you have the plague.

I have been pretty bad about keeping up on this lately. The week in a top 10 list nutshell:
1. Katie, I'm still working on that "M" thing--it's way harder than I ever though it would be! For anyone who is wondering, that would be a list of 10 things that start with M that I like...HARD! This has been taking up more of my mind lately than it needs to!
2. I have been trying to clean the house really good...not going well at all. It seems like it just gets worse and worse the more I try. The most recent thing was Haiden having the stomach flu and barfing all over the carpet twice, leaving huge stains that will not come out no matter what I have tried. Why can't kids barf in the bathroom or at least on the kitchen floor so it can be wiped up? Something about cream carpet screams "puke on me, poop on me, pee on me!!" Grrrr.
3. I have been doing horrible at my diet attempts and working out. I have been sick, so that throws me off a lot. I went a whole week without recording my food intake on WW and that went to heck. This week I am doing better at that and actually, on Thursday, still have my 35 flex points, but have not yet made it to the gym once.
4. I am sick of dealing with stupid banks.
5. I am sick of dealing with stupid bills.
6. I had to laugh this morning when Haiden said to me, "Mom, it's so unfair that God made dogs so they can't talk." He was really feeling bad about this.
7. I also had to laugh when, after getting off the phone with the vets office to make an appointment for Bruers impending death, I started crying and Hannah brought me all of her smelly blankies and said "mommy, here take these, they feel NICE!" and proceeded to rub them all over my face.
8. I have decided that I need to find some hobbies.
9. I have decided that I need to get out without kids more often.
10. I have decided that I am going to get organized once and for all, including getting the kids old things taken care of and/or out of this house.

Not very exciting, I know, but that's about it for now.

And the major issue of the day award goes to...

As I was folding laundry, I heard the kids in the bathroom arguing with each other: "No, it's MINE." NO IT's MINE!!!" You get the picture.
It was starting escalate and was starting to turn into a screaming match, so I decided to investigate.

What was this big argument about?

Who's turd was it in the toilet.

That's what it was about.

The fight was about who's it was and who was going to get to flush this creation. The end result was that they both put their hands on the handle and flushed together since we never did determine exactly who it belonged to.
