Along with the loss of his first tooth, this weekend marked Haiden's first sleepover with a friend!
Although, I felt like there were 3 little tornadoes running around trashing everything in sight, they had a great time. They ate junk food, played video games, caught the gobies in the pond by hand and named the fastest one "Sonic," ate more junk food, played Pokemon and Bakugan or whatever it was, and trashed some more. Did I mention they ate junk food like no tomorrow? Eek.
They stayed up until at least 1 a.m., which is when I could no longer keep my eyes open and finally gave up on trying to get them to settle down...I heard them talking and giggling after that point, and they were up bright and early with some more trashing and running. I went to check on them around 3 a.m. and found that his buddy had moved his sleeping bag from the extra bed where I had set him up, to Haiden's bed and they were snuggled up together under a sleeping bag. Awwww.....
Overall a good time for all, but I'm ready for some sleep and need a few weeks (maybe a few months/years) before I sign up for that again!

After months and months of patiently wiggling and waiting, Haiden finally lost his first tooth this week!
He, as well as his friends at school, were getting very concerned with his non-toothless state, and he was sooooo excited when the little sucker popped out when he went to brush his teeth Monday night "MOOOOOOOOM!!! My tooth...it just flew out of my mouth!!!"
The "tooth fairy" left him a letter thanking him for the nice shiny white tooth and gave him a certificate for a new Lego set (specifically stating a dollar amount, since the tooth fairy knew he would head for the $100 set he has had his eye on for quite some time). And yes, he does know there isn't really a tooth fairy, but he decided the fairy's name is "Jeff" and said he hopes he continues to visit.

Today marks Hannah's 4th year of life, and what an action-packed 4 years it has been!
Our little Hannah, from the moment she was yanked out to this very moment, has been one ball of constantly-moving, never-stopping, energy. She is full of curiosity, is the most independent little girl I have ever seen, and has brains like nobody's business. She has never ceased to amaze us: From crawling at 3 months old, walking at 7, talking in sentences by 1 year...to potty training herself at age 1-1/2...to reading books on her own at 3-1/2...we are always at a loss to wonder what is coming next.
This weekend, we celebrated her 4 years of life on this planet (notice I say on this planet because sometimes I am convinced she is an alien) by throwing a dinosaur-themed birthday party, complete with a dinosaur egg hunt and T-Rex pinata (both of which were slightly modified due to the rain that decided to make an appearance for her party). Luckily, we had cleaned the garage out the weekend prior and it was somewhat presentable and made a great pinata bashing locale.
We also had the requested-for-the-past-year-or-so dinosaur cake with dino skeletons and dino candles. Hannah received a ton of gifts, including the Snow White vacuum she has pined away for since before Christmas, a fishing pole, t-ball set, dino toys, books, My Little Pony beauty salon, and more. Lunch was also her request: Hot dogs, chips, fruit kebabs, BBQ chicken, potato salad, Sunny D, and Scooperman ice cream.
Some fun 4-year-old Hannah facts straight from her mouth:
Favorite color: Pink
