Wow. Am I a bad mama or what? Of course we celebrated Haiden's 7th birthday this year, but I have failed to document it to share with the rest of our family and friends.
Haiden was so worried that he wouldn't have a birthday this year since he wouldn't be able to have the normal family/friend party, but we reassured him that would not be the case.
On July 28, his actual birthday, we celebrated by letting him pick out the meals for the day which consisted of lots of processed food, including his all-time faves, mac & cheese and chicken nuggets. He wanted an ice cream cake from DQ, so that took care of the cake. He picked out a tye dye one because, for some reason, he said it was really cool despite the fact that it was kind of purple and had kind of girly colors in it. But again, he wanted it, so he got it.
He got lots of presents in the mail from grandmas and grandpas and cards from family, which he had a great time opening in the evening. Lots of Legos, so he was in heaven.
Saturday, we took a trip to the Chattanooga Aquarium, as he had requested we go there for his birthday.
Some 7-year-old favorites:
~LEGOS. He is obsessed with them. He plays with them morning, noon, and night, reads about them, draws plans for them in his notebooks, and designs "sets" all day long. To be honest, I'm quite sick of them and now that he has little sister almost equally obsessed, I'm going nuts.
~Reading. He is working on the Harry Potter series and I am happy we found a series that will take a long, long time finally. I am going to have to check out the later books though, because I hear they get pretty dark and scary towards the end. We may have to cut it off early.
~Anything science related.
~Fave foods: Mac & cheese, chicken nuggets, cheeseburgers, fruit shakes, and bananas.
~47-1/4 inches and 40 pounds. He is very proud of this and wanted to make sure I put this in here. Plus, it helps me keep track of how they are growing, so what the heck.
~He also wants me to put on here that he has lost 3 teeth and has one that is loose.
